Retail Marketing Committee

A retail marketing Committee is responsible for approaching business merchants who specifically cater to students, such as movie theaters, sporting goods shops, video stores, fast-food restaurants and other similar candidates for the purpose of offering discounts to all DFYIT student members.  Participating merchants will reward drug-free teenagers and at the same time benefit from free publicity and advertising.  Merchants are provided DFYIT decals, posters or stickers that can be prominently displayed, signifying their participation and support.

The committee will prepare and have printed a directory of participating businesses. Each student member of DFYIT is to receive a copy of the Directory showing the discounts students will receive from merchants by participating in the DFYIT program.

PURPOSE:   To approach merchants who specifically cater to students, such as movie theaters, sporting good shops, video stores, fast food restaurants and other related businesses for the purpose of giving discounts to all D-FY-IT members. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

A.        Develop a list of potential businesses who would normally cater to teenagers within the school district. 

B.        Develop written policies and procedures 

C.        Develop budget 

D.        Solicit participating merchants 

E.        Design decals, banners and posters 

F.         Develop business directory
